Webcam Gadgets

PowerPod is a robotic base for camcorders which is newly released on 27 November, 2003.  Together with TrackCam Software 4.13 which is released on 7 November, 2003, the PowerPod will turn your camcorder into a webcam that you can pan, view and tilt remotely over the internet.  The latest software allows motion detection.  By that means, it doesn't only capture video when motion occurs, it also locks on to whatever moved and follows it while capturing. 

This super robotic camcorder base can handles camcorders up to 3lbs in weight.  Zoom is digital with Canon ZR but digital with other camcorder models.

CamPilot enables visitors to a live video chat room to remotely control the chathost's webcam. Visitors can pan up and down, and swivel left and right. Campilot will draw visitors and keep them in your room much longer!  TrackerCam is currently the only base compatible with CamPilot^TM.   If you already have a small camera, you can just get the remote-control base ("TrackerPod") and mount your own camera to it. Otherwise, you can order the whole set which includes both the base and a Logitech QuickCam web cam.

Wanna use a camcorder? The Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80 is the easiest capture device. Just install some simple software, plug your camcorder into one end, plug the other end into your PC's USB Port, and you're ready to go! Plus, the image quality is FANTASTIC. Don't get this if you have s-s-s-slow Internet connection though.
