Streamate is a community webcam site that features independent ladies chatting in the studio or from the comfort of their homes. It offers several good features like schedules (of performers), personal favorites list, a user friendly environment and competitive chat rates. Streamate has a nice and simple layout which makes it easy to locate important tabs and links where you may want to go.

 

Features

 

To start with chatting online, you must have a properly set-up Flash plug-in for your browser. This is to enable you to have an almost faultless video streaming with no distractions in between. The nice thing about chatting is that you can talk to the models discreetly.

 

The site would require you to create a display name when which will be used in the chats, and will be your show up name. You can alter your display name if you want from your profile page.

 

With over 800 ladies working at any given time, you can have a range of choices. You can search Streamate’s performer database in several ways. One option is just by typing the model’s name at the search box, that is, if you know who exactly you are looking for. In case the name you provided does not match a model exactly, the site conveniently gives the member a list of the closest matches. Another way is by entering specific keyword to search descriptions if you are looking for a certain type of performer.

If you are having a hard time searching based on name and description, then maybe you can explore the model assembly instead by clicking the “Browse Cams” button located at the top of the page. All the performers are not only displayed but they are divided according to type as well. You can also use the “Browse models” drop-down menu that you will find at the left side of the page or alternatively by clicking on “Search.”

But there will be times that you will encounter pre-recorded scenes where there is no chance of chatting with the performers. This however happens only once the performer is not available or is off-line. Anyhow, Streamate makes sure to post this information for its members. By the way, be sure to check out Fay and Liberty. These two are my favorite performers and they entertain me well.

 

Well aside from viewing the performers, you can also browse through their sample pictures and know more about them through their bio. After entering the guest chat, you can try viewing some video samples together with their pictures. Inside the performer’s chat room, you can view the video in full-length and pre-recorded video with tags stated just before you enter the chat.

 

If you think the talent will be inspired by your image, you can opt for the Cam2Cam system in private chat (why not!) which allows you and the talent a view of your own images.

 

Since the models are working independently here, the rate varies with each model. Depending on the rate they are implementing, the rate starts at $0.99/minute up to $4.99/minute. Some sites may have monthly or recurring fee to enter the site but streamate.com charges per-minute in US dollars.

 

One downside is the site’s video quality. As expected, some of the images are hazy and dim at times. There’s some pixilation that makes the performers and the performances indistinct.

 

Bottom Line

 

Streamate.com is a venue if you want to chat with amateur performers at the same time watch them through the webcam. The performers range from guys and gals to friends and couples. There are even some specialty cam shows that you could be interested in.
